Collection Rouge Et Or The story of Mont Blanc pens Montblanc International is now the company behind the famous Mont Blanc pens, but the company begins the name was Simplo Filler Pen. The company first started in 1906 with a partnership of three men: Claus-Johannes Voss, Alfred August Eberstein and Nehemiah. The flagship model was first known as the Red and Black in 1909. The following year, they would create the first pen Mont Blanc. The company soon filed the trademark "Montblanc" and then all pens created by the company were published under that name. In 1913, one of the most famous birds has been released, what collectors call the "snowflake". The Montblanc star becomes a hero of the mark, and was one of the pens to start the business in infamy. Unfortunately, problems arose quickly to the company. One of its founders, August Eberstein fled to the United States to evade the authorities for having stolen from the coffers of companies. But this has not prevented the success of the company. The small company started in Hamburg, Germany soon expanded. In 1934, after the huge success of their Mont Blanc pen, they changed their name to Montblanc-Simplo. In 1977, Montblanc Dunhill bought. They made a bold move and has been offering lower prices while using the pen mark on a wide range of luxury goods instead. Currently, Montblanc is part of the Richemont group. Fellow companies you've probably heard of: Van Cleef, Cartier and other luxury brands. Montblanc is the leading manufacturer behind all the pens and Cartier. Montblanc is known for its celebrity endorsements, which includes people like Johnny Depp, Nicolas Cage and Julianne Moore. With this concentration on the market Montblanc, there was some play among collectors, however. Recent polls show that many collectors feel Montblanc has become too focused on marketing and the overall quality of the brand has declined. Only 5% of collectors have found that the mark actually better quality, while only 19% felt that they had maintained. The coming years I expect Montblanc will challenge on their hands to please their base collector, while appealing to the overall profitability of the company. Over the years, Montblanc has released limited edition masterpieces that were made by collectors worldwide pen crazy. Some of the most notable editions you can find including 100 Year Anniversary Boheme Collection, Greta Garbo Special Edition, Limited Edition and Virginia Woolf. Posted on February 7, 2010.
