Gel Manicure

This is a manicure gel, it is just something they put on top of my nails to be stronger? or are they like advice where they add to the length of your nails? Can I paint whatever color I told the lady?

I think the manicure with gel you get advice French and they use UV light to dry instead of painting thingy air. I always get them instead of the cause of the thing air painting I usually ruin my nails when wet so I have to use the method of UV light. and I'm sure yu can get any color.
