Krishnamurti FoundationSPACE GALLERY PRESENTS 'EYE OF THE NEEDLE' - a painting exhibition of the artist Tanmoy SAMANTA DELHI BASED

New Delhi: Gallery Espace presents' Eye of the Needle ", a solo exhibition of more than twenty new works of paintings on canvas and paper by the artist based in New Delhi from October 09 Tanmoy Samanta, 2009 to 07 November 2009 Gallery Area, Level 0-1, 16, Community Centre, New Friends Colony. Hosted as an event simultaneously in the course Delhi International Arts Festival (DIAF), the show highlights in bold simple dialogue, but with Samanta forms lines and colors is aesthetically amazing and interesting to discard.

Says Renu Modi, Director, Gallery Espace: "Tanmoy Samanta's paintings remind us of the gifted, brilliant and very underrated Gaganendranath Tagore. Like him, Tanmoy also creates paintings that act as ideograms, going beyond the syllables and sounds to create a unique language of his own. Unlike others, he does flit from one artistic style to another, but deepens his chosen path. "

Raised in an environment rich in literary experience, Tanmoy Samanta, born in West Bengal in 1973, earned a BA and MA in painting from Kala Bhavan shown (College of Fine Arts and Crafts), Santiniketan in 1996. He grew to enjoy the spirit Tagorean college and wished to traditional materials for the photo taken, namely gouache, rice paper and pigments without aesthetic conflict. Tanmoy Samanta Says: "I've always been fascinated by the shape and form that ignite my fantasy and imagination. My work is multi-dimensional layers colors and textures that I begin to trim and simple images of everyday life, not to obtain a final result, but to illustrate the movement continues. In my laboratory, in the process of achieving something, I make little discoveries along the way who are as important as the outcome and end where success and failure continues to be the opposite. "

For Tanmoy Samanta, his inspiration was the memory of the coastal town where he grew up, memories as a sign of dusk backcountry mysterious sea is seeking to devour the full moon, the movement of fish sparkling phosphor coated outdoor lighting backwaters dark, tall trees swaying in the dark mystery of synchronization, signaling alarm lights and reinsurance, a thatched coconut leaves to catch fire and People scream and run to fetch water, a huge black snake coiled inside the tank to cool rice, night spotting a UFO and yet another night witnessing a dacoits fled on their stilts, Soviet magazines in translation Bengali, get a globe as a birthday present, remains of a fighter plane over the sea from a military base nearby, non-readable prints on the big boats, along rain week, an unfathomable fear of a possible disaster, the soft sounds of some foreign channels full-size suitcase radio wooden cabinet to work as a lullaby - all will remain etched in the nooks and crannies of her mind.

The artist is fascinated by the complex relationship between inside and outside, and the landscape, the beating of content and handle the container. For example, in his works entitled "War Memories, painting, at first glance shows different sizes of leather boots, but on closer examination, it shows a ball and socket system of levers which form the bones of the foot. In another book entitled 'Butterfly', the painting represents a proposal for a flying city. In "The Beetle car, opens the car body as a loquacious, its rotating machine parts to members, as animated by a life force which prevents its DESTR.
