The word-name "Jehovah" has never been included in the NASB, and therefore could never be scratched.

The translators of the NASB chose to use traditional English rendering "the Lord" instead of making non-traditional "Jehovah" for reasons known only to themselves but I suspect it was because of considerations marketing. Probably they wanted the new translation of the Bible to use as many Christians as possible, and I knew that the word-name "Jehovah" is not like (because he does not know) to Many readers of the Bible.
