Is it necessary to anchor a pier beam home $ 2 history? I'm looking to buy a house with 2 floors. My inspector told me he was not required rebar in place on the pillars outside support. It will cost around 12,500 to get in. The house is 12 years, so I should be worried about it and you? Or is someone trying to take advantage of my lack of structural knowledge base? I am a single mom, and I do not have the resources to remedy this, I am trying to get the bank to pay for it (the house foreclosure) But I'm not even sure if this is necessary. Please help me understand!
Your description does not provide sufficient detail to analyze, but it would be interesting to know how an inspector has determined that there was no rebar. Rebar itself NOT "keeps everything in place." On the frame are in concrete, is used to reinforce concrete and can not be seen after casting concrete.
