Is honey powder to use health as sugar? A well-known producer of honey proved honey powder in small enclosures, for sweetening tea or coffee. The properties of honey significantly altered when it is lit by a semi-liquid form of powder?
It depends on how it was dried ........ see below
The powder is 70 percent honey. Seventy percent honey powder is designed for cooking and has approximately the same sweetness level as sugar sucrose (ordinary table sugar cane). It has seen very little sweetness if used as seasoning.
In many recipes it can be used as a replacement for the equality of liquid honey with good results. Instead of honey, use 3 / 4 parts honey to 1 / 4 part water.
Other types of honey powder which are available elsewhere are the following:
Roller dried honey powder 32% honey with added fructose and starch in wheat.
Spray dried honey powder with 40-50% of honey added Malto-dextrin, white and looks like powdered sugar.
powder mixture of 9-10% Honey honey mixed with sugar cane powder.
Powdered honey is honey that has been spray dried into a fine powder similar in texture of cornmeal.
It can be used for flavoring and sweetening as natural honey is used. The only difference being that the dry powder does not affect the moisture content of recipes.
It can be mixed in drinks, used in cooking, sprinkled on cereal or ice cream, and used to sweeten tea or coffee.
When you use to sweeten drinks just add to taste. If you use in tea or coffee honey powder is best mixed with cold milk first time or if the milk is not used, with a small amount of cold water. It can go lumpy if mixed with hot liquids. To use the recipes add about the same amount in volume (not weight) that we use honey. If you use a recipe, combine with dry ingredients first.
